AB Ranks Highest Scores in Comparative Test Performed by Cruising World Magazine

Ranking high in a performance test done by Cruising World Magazine, AB Inflatables' Ventus 3.20VL is one of the most popular recreational sport RIBs on the market.

The evaluation compared 10' models from 12 manufacturers.  Because the Ventus 3.20VL has a raised bow and three, large, 17"-diameter air chambers, the RIB received top marks in both the handling and dryness categories.  Ventus boats are the only lightweight inflatables with an extra air-retaining chamber in the hull, which also serves as an anti-skid flooring to keep cargo and feet dry.

In the testing, AB Inflatables 3.20VL weighed in at a mere 137 pounds (all accessories included) and reached a maximum speed of 19.3 knots with a 15-hp outboard, putting it in 1st place when compared against boats of the same size. Due in part to its hand-laid, deep-V fiberglass hull, the boat took only 6 seconds to plane, one of the best rankings in the test.

AB Inflatables Ventus 3.20VL can carry considerably more than the other RIBs tested.  It accommodates 5 people and a maximum of 1,494 pounds.

The boat is 10'6" x 5'5" and has the roomiest interior, measuring 7'7" x 2'8", compared to the other models tested.
