10 Year Limited Warranty (For models 2004 and up)

1. Warranties Granted. Every registered AB inflatable (foldable and RIB) and its parts and accessories sold by ______________________________ (THE DISTRIBUTOR), is warranted under conditions of normal purchase against any defects in material or workmanship, as specified and limited below, with respect to items as follows:

A. Fabric: The Hypalon®/polyester/neoprene fabric of the tubes is warranted for a period of ten (10) years against porosity deterioration affecting serviceability. This warranty does not include discoloration, puncture, fading, tearing, ripping, cracking, abrasion, negligence, accident or ordinary wear and tear. AB will repair or replace at no charge during year 1 through 5. During years 6 to 10, if it is determined that the fabric is defective and in the event of replacement of inflatable tube, it will be offered at the following discount from the current manufacturer's suggested retail price for the models:

- 50% discount in year 6

- 40% discount in year 7

- 30 % discount in year 8

- 20% discount in year 9

- 10% discount in year 10

B. Valves: The inflation valves are warranted for five (5) years against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty does not include ordinary wear and tear, negligence, or damage by improper inflation techniques.

C. Seams: The air holding seams of the hull are warranted for five (5) years against separation and subsequent loss of air, which exceeds twenty percent (20%) of recommended inflation pressure when measured over a period of five (5) days, while maintaining the boat at a constant temperature in a controlled environment. The major cause of damage is the result of running the boat underinflated. The owner is expected to check and properly maintain the correct inflation pressure before using the boat, or when temperature variations have exceeded ten degrees Celsius (10°C) or fifty degrees Fahrenheit (50°F) since inflation, or when running under unusual operation conditions.

D. Transom: The transom is warranted against delamination, cracking and hull separation for a period of one (1) year. This warranty shall be ineffective if the boat has been operated without proper inflation, or with an outboard motor which exceeds the maximum horsepower rating listed on the serial plate attached to the transom. The major cause of transom problems are the result of boat underinflation and use of excessive horsepower.E. Fiberglass RIB’s: The composite of fiberglass hulls are warranted for one (1) year against structural defects. This warranty does not include the surface finish or any damage due to misuse or negligence. This warranty is cancelled, if the boat is operated with an outboard motor which exceeds the maximum horsepower rating, listed on the serial plate attached to the transom.

E. Fiberglass RIB’s: The composite of fiberglass hulls are warranted for one (1) year against structural defects. This warranty does not include the surface finish or any damage due to misuse or negligence. This warranty is cancelled, if the boat is operated with an outboard motor which exceeds the maximum horsepower rating, listed on the serial plate attached to the transom.

F. Aluminum RIB’s: The aluminum hulls are warranted for one (1) year against structural defects. The aluminum and wooden engine mount plates are warranted for one (1) year. This warranty does not include the surface finish or any damage due to misuse, negligence or ordinary wear.

G. Commercial Use: All warranties stated are extended for the normal use of the boats, and does not include any coverage with respect to use for racing or in other competitive events as well as charter, rental or commercial use.

H. Accessories: The floorboards, oars, handles, seats, tow rings, D rings and other factory installed accessories are warranted for one (1) year against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not include any painted or finished surfaces, normal wear and tear, improper lifting or towing techniques, other abuse or negligence.

2. Transferability - This warranty is transferable to another owner within one (1) year of original effective date of this warranty, provided that an original warranty card is on file with THE DISTRIBUTOR and that the new holder of the warranty provides proof, to the satisfaction of THE DISTRIBUTOR, that the owner has purchased another AB boat. The warranty transferred to a new owner is prorated in time with respect to the time of original purchase.

3. Effective Date and Conditions. This warranty shall become effective on the date of sale provided that the warranty registration card is properly completed and mailed by the retail purchaser and received by THE DISTRIBUTOR, within fifteen (15) days from date of purchase.

4. Exclusions. The warranty shall not be applicable to any AB boat which is deemed defective, damaged or inoperable, due to theft, loss, unauthorized modification or alteration, negligence, improper or inadequate storage or transportation, abuse or misuse, or to any AB boat which is used in a manner contrary to directions or instruction indicated in the AB Owner’s Manual. Any repairs to an AB boat which are not made in a manner authorized by THE DISTRIBUTOR, will void the remainder of the warranty for that Product.

THE DISTRIBUTOR, will repair or at its option replace any of the above described defects during the respective warranty periods. In order to have any defect corrected, the owner of the boat must send notification of the defect to THE DISTRIBUTOR. THE DISTRIBUTOR, will then advise the owner where to send, freight prepaid, the boat for repair or replacement. The judgment of our factory-trained experts is final as to the extent of any liability. Any repair made as result of an accident, neglect, alteration or abuse will be made at a charge to the owner.

In no event shall THE DISTRIBUTOR, be liable for incidental or consequential damages in connection with the use of AB boats. The liability of THE DISTRIBUTOR on any claim relating in any way to the sale or use of AB boats, parts, or accessories shall in no case exceed the purchase price applicable to the boat or part or accessory thereof to which such claim relates. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This document contains the entire warranty given by THE DISTRIBUTOR to the first retail purchaser and there are no terms, promises, conditions or warranties other than those contained herein.

Registration hereunder is a condition precedent to coverage under this warranty. To register your AB boat, complete the attached Registration Card and mail it within fifteen (15) days of date of purchase to THE DISTRIBUTOR.
